The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the Telecommunications arena overseeing core accounting functions, including month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger management. This individual will work cross-functionally with finance, operations, and leadership to ensure timely and accurate reporting, while driving improvements in accounting processes. Ideal candidates will have strong technical accounting skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and experience in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate results
Prepare complex journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations across multiple entities
Analyze financial data and trends to support management decision-making
Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Support internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules and audit responses
Help implement and maintain internal controls and accounting policies
Collaborate with other departments to improve accounting workflows and financial visibility
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, modeling)
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Oracle, etc.)
Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency
Strong analytical and communication skills
Preferred:
CPA license or active CPA candidate
Experience in the telecommunications or technology industry
Familiarity with revenue recognition under ASC 606
